Tea and Me

I will be speaking at a Eastern North Carolina Tea Party Get Out the Vote Rally on Oct 2nd in Little Washington (2:00 - 4:00 pm rally time). I will be covering illegal immigration and terrorism issues in my remarks. For those of you whom I've recently met down East, come on out. I look forward to seeing you. Supposed to be a fairly large event.

Presentation Thursday Night

I will be speaking at the next meeting of the Lake Norman Republican Women this Thursday night (September 2nd) at 7:15 pm. The meeting is at the Hilton Gardens (conference room), Exit 33 in Mooresville. Hope you can make it.

Tennessee Speech Photos

Had a great time in Tennessee this weekend, though I got home after midnight last night. Many thanks to the TN Federation of Republican Women for the invite. Hal has begun informing civic groups, and other organizations around North Carolina about this critical issue. Hal Weatherman has distinguished himself as an author and speaker. Please come and be informed about what is happening right now in regard to terrorism and the threat it presents to our country.

Stumping for Kathy Harrington for Senate

Last night, after our own event in Charlotte, we attended a reception over in Gaston County for State Senate candidate and our good friend Kathy Harrington. Thought you would enjoy some of the photos. Kathy should win the seat, replacing the retiring Sen. David Hoyle, putting that seat firmly on the Republican side of the aisle.

Connect the Dots Presentation in Northern Virginia

Cleveland County Speech

If you are in the Cleveland County Monday night, come on over to Gardner Webb University and hear my presentation. I will be discussing Terrorism and Illegal Immigration, two hot button issues.

United Faith Christian Academy Graduation Photos

I delivered the keynote at the graduation ceremony of United Faith Christian Academy in Charlotte today. Cool group of kids. Three of the boys graduating will play Division I basketball on full scholarships next year. Needless to say, they were very tall. Enjoyed the event very much. Thank you Dr. Siragusa for having me.

Traveled to Hendersonville yesterday morning in time for a 7:30 am meeting of the Republican Men and Women's Clubs. Gave my terrorism presentation and really enjoyed spending time with the fine people of the area. Very receptive audience.

Union County Speech at Jesse Helms Center (Photos)

I enjoyed meeting and speaking earlier this week with a select group of Union County high schoolers engaged in a mock Congress study session at the Jesse Helms Center in Wingate. We had a lively discussion and I appreciated the thoughtful questions. Our future is in good hands if these young people run the country one day.

October Speaking Engagements

Enjoyed spending time with and addressing the Waxhaw Rotary Club yesterday morning. The photos you see are from that event.

Monday, I will be filling in for Sue and conducting a town hall type meeting with a local CPA firm. The event is a company specific closed event, but I will be happy to post photos afterward.

On Monday (Oct 12) I will be addressing a meeting of the Gaston County Republican Party Executive Committee and will speaking on homeland security and terrorism issues. Check out the Gaston GOP homepage for more information. The event will be on the campus of Belmont Abbey College.

On October 10th, I will pitch hit for Sue Myrick at the 3rd Annual Union County GOP BBQ.

On Oct 20th at 7:00 pm I will be addressing the Gastonia Lions Club that meet at the Ryan's at Franklin Square.

I will be addressing the Unionville Lions in Union County on Oct. 26th at 7:00 pm.

Men's Shelter of Charlotte Grand Opening

This week, the Uptown Men's Shelter and the Emergency Winter Shelter officially formalized their proposed merger. The new Men's Shelter was unveiled and I had the privilege to help make welcoming remarks as I filled in for Sue who was in DC. Mecklenburg County Chairwoman Jennifer Roberts formally announced the name change from the two previous respective names to the new "Men's Shelter of Charlotte." The building was clean, large and impressive and will be a great addition to Charlotte and the people it aims to serve. Enjoy the photos.

On Thursday, September 17th at noon, I will be speaking to the Gaston County Republican Women's Club at the City Club in Gastonia.

On Monday, September 21 at noon, I will be addressing the Charlotte North Rotary Club and September 23rd (Wed) I will be speaking to the West Charlotte Rotary Club at Carolina Golf Country Club at 12:15 pm.

Join me Thursday night, September 24th when I will speak to the 9th District Executive Committee at a location TBD.

If you live in Union County, come out and join me Thursday, October 1 at 7:30 am at the Waxhaw Rotary Club. They meet at Rippingtons in down town Waxhaw. I will also be speaking in Unionville on October 26th at 7:00 pm at the Unionville Lions Club.
