Here I am meeting with a group of entrepreneurs from the country of Azerbaijan. They came by our Congressional Office on Friday to learn about our form of government. They were particularly interested in the upcoming health care debate and on tax polices that influence corporate philanthropy.
The group came to Charlotte through the Open World Program, a US Congress-authorized program managed by the Open World Leadership Center. They bring emerging community leaders to the United States for 10-day visits to observe US democracy and free enterprise in action.
